CHS FFA Chili Winners Named

CHIEFLAND – From 15 different chili entrees, one was named as “Best Overall,” one was named “Most Original” and one was named “Hottest and Spiciest” for 2012.
The Third Annual Chiefland High School FFA Alumni Chili Contest and Cake Auction on Friday evening (Feb. 3) drew a crowd to the CHS Ag Building.

Crash Kills One Near Chiefland
CHIEFLAND – Just north of the Chiefland city limits on U.S. Highway 19, a car and a pickup truck were involved in a head-on crash Tuesday morning (Jan. 31). Injuries from the crash resulted in the death of one man, and another man was taken to Shands at U.F. in serious condition, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Multiple Races Make Bronson Roar

BRONSON – There were so many races at Bronson Speedway on Sunday, the action went on, and on, and on.
Announcer John Berti was like the Energizer Bunny as he and the rest of the staff at the track kept fans entertained.
